For today’s post I wanted to attempt to recreate the signature look of one of my personal style icons – Lauren Conrad. I have been following Lauren since her Laguna Beach days and though she looked gorgeous back then, I think she is even more so now. Her look almost always incorporates a dramatic, black winged liner, peachy-pink cheeks and peach glossed lips. I think that this type of look is perfect for everyday, as it is fresh, pretty and chic.
Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!
Face: I applied my usual combo – drop of Revlon Photoready Skinlights in Pink Light + Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. To conceal underneath my eyes I used my Maybelline Fit me Concealer, and then to set my base I applied Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light through the center of my face.
Eyes: when Lauren is wearing shadow, it usually appears to be a champagne-peach shimmer shade – nothing too dark or smokey. To achieve this eye look I applied Mac All That Glitters to my lids, blending into the crease. To add a bit of depth I took a tiny amount of Mac Charcoal Brown onto a Mac 217 Brush and applied this to my crease using a wind-screen wiper motion. For Lauren’s signature winged liner I used my Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen and finally for lashes, I applied several coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara.
Cheeks: for bronzer I used my usual Jouer Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept, sweeping the color underneath my cheekbones, onto my temples, and across my forehead and nose. To achieve Lauren’s peachy-pink, glowing cheeks, I first applied Nars Blush in Deep Throat to the apples, and then swept e.l.f. Golden Bronzer to the tops of my cheekbones.
Lips: for a glossy peach pout I used Mac Lipstick in Shy Girl, and then applied Stila Lip Glaze in Starfruit overtop.
