The inspiration for this simple, glow-y look came from Olivia Munn’s stunning cover of Allure’s May 2014 issue. It is all about natural, glowing skin, neutral eyes and lips, and the most gorgeous rosy cheeks. I think that it would be perfect for any summer outing, especially a special dinner outdoors. Here’s what I did:

Face: I began my applying Laura Mercier’s Radiance Foundation Primer, which provides a gorgeous luminosity to the skin and is great for prepping the skin for foundation. Next, I applied a small amount of YSL’s Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation with fingertips for a natural finish. To conceal underneath my eyes I applied Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer, and blended with a fingertip. To finish the skin I applied a tiny amount of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light just through the center of my face.

Eyes: After prepping my eyelids with Urban Decay Primer Potion, I applied a bit of Mac Charcoal Brown in the crease using a wind-screen wiper motion for a natural shadow. Next, I took Mac Teddy Eye Kohl and applied it on my lower lash line and water line, and then blended well with a small smudge brush. To define my upper lash line I drew a thin line [no wings here] with Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. To add a bit of light to my eyes I applied Laura Mercier’s Matte Radiance Baked Powder in 01 to the inner corners. To complete the eye look I curled my lashes, and applied a few coats of Maybelline The Falsies.

Cheeks: To bronze up my skin I applied Diorskin Nude Tan in 002 underneath my cheekbones, on my temples and across my nose with a fluffy blush brush. To add a rosy glow to my cheeks I got a bit of water on my middle finger, and then picked up a small amount of Nars Matte Multiple in Laos and blended onto my cheeks. To highlight I used Laura Mercier’s Matte Radiance Baked Powder in 01 to the tops of my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose, and right over my cupid’s bow.

Lips: For a really pretty nude lip with a hint of shine I first applied Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Nude Lust, and then added a tiny amount of Urban Decay Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss in Liar overtop.
